Premesis ID Registration

To protect the health of U.S. livestock and poultry and the economic well-being of those industries, it is imperative to be able to quickly and effectively trace an animal disease to its source. Pennsylvania’s Premises Identification Program is a powerful tool for protecting animal and human health. The ability to know where various species are located in the state allows for a quick, effective response to animal disease outbreaks.

Premises identification allows the Commonwealth to communicate timely disease outbreak information to impacted producers, such as symptoms to look for, species which may be affected, and who to call if you suspect an outbreak on your farm.  Premises identification also allows veterinary experts the opportunity to communicate timely disease prevention information and bio-security measures to producers.
