Focus Areas
Our veterinarians dedicate their time to these issues by working with other professionals, doing laboratory work, and working directly with producers on-farm.
Our focus areas include:
A chronic, incurable bacterial disease of ruminant animals.
A series of management practices designed to minimize or prevent the importation of infectious agents onto a farm.
Clinical lameness can cost the producer in terms of treatment for the problem, but lameness can also lead to decreased milk production, impaired reproductive performance, and costs related to culling an animal.
