Penn State alum to speak on careers in industry, drug discovery
Posted:
Dr. Ann Clark, a Penn State alum currently at EMD Serono will be giving a talk in Dr. Adam Glick's course (VB SC 330 Principles of Pharmacology). Everyone is welcome.
"The Biopharma Drug Discovery Process from the In Vivo Pharmacology Perspective - an Example from an Oncology Project at EMD Serono"
Tuesday March 24th
11:15 am
301D Life Sciences
According to Dr. Glick:
She will be presenting the discovery and development steps (including tox) and some data for one of the Oncology compounds that is currently in Phase I clinical trials. She will also present a background about her path from the PSU DAS department to her current position. I think this is a great opportunity for Tox majors to see how drug development occurs and to see what opportunities there are for tox and animal science majors there are in the pharmaceutical industry.
