Penn State's annual career exploration program for students in grades 6 through 8 (middle school students) who are interested in veterinary medicine or biomedical sciences as their future careers.
Participants will have the opportunity to do hands-on activities in laboratories under the guidance of faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students.

When: Put on hold due to pandemic
- Registration: 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.
- Program: 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: University Park Campus, Agricultural and Science and Industries Building (ASI)
- Find out about exciting career options in the veterinary and biomedical fields through hands-on laboratory activities.
- Participate in a panel discussion about career choices with undergraduate student role models.
- Attend an informative session over lunch to learn which high school courses to take in order to pursue veterinary or biomedical fields.
Program cost: $50 per student ($10 per parent/guardian)
The program coordinators follow the university polices and procedures when it comes to COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, we require all program personnel, participants, and visitors wear a mask during the program indoors. Additionally, the program coordinator has the authority to cancel the program based on COVID 19 pandemic effects on campus.
