Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences showcased their research by presenting posters in the annual competition sponsored by Gamma Sigma Delta, the Honor Society of Agriculture.
Several graduate and undergraduate students advised by faculty from the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences showcased their research by presenting posters in the annual competition sponsored by Gamma Sigma Delta, the Honor Society of Agriculture, and in the Penn State Graduate School's Science Poster Exhibition, held during March and early April 2018 at University Park. Here we highlight award winners from the Department. From Left to right:
Arianna Ferguson, rising junior, Millennium Science Scholar, majoring in the Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences received Gamma Sigma Delta's Undergraduate Animal Research Award, 1st Place. Her research work was advised by Dr. Paul H. Patterson, professor of Animal Science.
Jingwei Cai, a PhD student in Bioinformatics and Genomics Program received Gamma Sigma Delta's Paul Hand Award for Graduate Student Research Achievement. Jingwei is advised by Dr. Andrew Patterson.
Dr. Sandeep Prabhu, Professor of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.
Shaneice Nettleford, graduate student in Pathobiology Program, received an award during the Graduate School's Poster Exhibition in the Health and Life Sciences Category. She is advised by Dr. Sandeep Prabhu.
Wanying Dai, senior dual majors in Immunology and Infectious Disease and Toxicology, received the Gamma Sigma Delta's Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award. She is advised by Dr. Jack Vanden Heuvel.
Adwitia Dey, PhD student in the Physiology Program, received Gamma Sigma Delta's 2nd place award in the Biological Sciences Category. She is advised by Dr. Pamela Hankey-Giblin.
James Fraser, PhD student in Intercollege Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Biosciences Program, received an award during the Graduate School's Poster Exhibition in the Health and Life Sciences Category. He is advised by Dr. Robert Paulson.
