Information on fellowships, assistantships, and work study opportunities for Penn State Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences graduate students.

Fellowships

Fellowships are awarded through The Graduate School. Only students with a grade point average above 3.5 are considered for a fellowship, and other indicators must be similarly favorable.

Assistantships

Graduate assistantships provide stipend and tuition remission. This is the mechanism by which the majority of Pathobiology graduate students are funded. All available assistantships are controlled by individual faculty members who may or may not have an open assistantship to offer at a particular time.

Prospective applicants should correspond directly with individual faculty members to inquire about assistantships, and applicants should indicate desire to be considered for assistantships in their statement of interest letter.

Scholarships

In addition to assistantships, a number of scholarships are available to Pathobiology graduate students

Mr. and Mrs. E. Bosworth Grier Scholarship

Consideration for this award shall be given to graduate students in Pathobiology who are in the Ph.D. program and who have passed the candidacy examination. A student may receive this scholarship only once during his/her graduate program. Endowed by Ruth Grier Robinson and John M. Robinson, Jr., in memory of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Bosworth Grier.
