Natalia Y. Kedishvili received her M.S. degree in Biochemistry in 1982, and a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry in 1987 from the Lomonosov's Moscow State University, Russia. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine, she was recruited by the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she developed a research program in retinoid and steroid metabolism. In 2004, she joined the Department of Biochemistry at UAB where she continues to teach and do research today.
