The Molecular Section at KADC provides testing using modern equipment to detect the presence of pathogens in animal tissues and body secretions.
PCR Machine
Real-time PCR assays are used to identify pathogen DNA or RNA in submitted specimens.
Molecular testing at KADC is currently undergoing validation. During this period, specimens received at KADC are being tested within PADLS laboratories while all required procedures and approvals are completed to allow on-site testing.
